NBA: Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Preview

The Toronto Raptors and Cleveland Cavaliers will meet up for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Monday night in Cleveland.

This is a very intriguing playoff matchup from last year, where the Cavs beat the Raptors 4-2. However, things have drastically changed since then.

The Raptors have added Serge Ibaka and PJ Tucker, two very talented players, to their squad. Their two core players remain Kyle Lowry and Demar Derozan.

The Cavs on the other hand have pretty much the same team, led by the best player in the world, Lebron James. The Cavs biggest flaw this year has been their defense.

I’m not sure if the Raptors can really exploit Cleveland’s defense, but if they can then they could be in a good place for a potential upset. The Cavs offense has been phenomenal so far, and if their defense catches up with their offense, then no one in the East will come close to beating them.

This series really comes down to the Cavs playing good enough defense to win. If the Raptors can’t put up points consistently, they don’t have any shot to pull off the upset.

I think the Cavs offense will just be too much for the Raptors. Also, I won’t be picking Lebron to lose in the East anytime soon.

My Prediction; Cleveland Cavaliers
