WWE: Backlash 2017 Predictions

WWE Backlash is live from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL.

Pre Show:
Tye Dillinger vs Aiden English:
English has been trying to kickoff his singles run now that Simon Gotch isn’t with the WWE anymore. The winner of this has the chance to have some success on the Smackdown Live roster, but I don’t think any good comes to the loser.

With that being said, English is losing this match. Dillinger is one of their new babyface’s from NXT and I don’t think it’d be to wise to give English this win.
Winner: Tye Dillinger

Main Show:

WWE Championship — Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton (c):Word has been circulating that WWE really wants to tap into their popular Indian market and Jinder Mahal is the guy they chose to lead that charge. I have Jinder Mahal winning the WWE Championship tonight. People obviously won’t like it, but hey, this is about Indian money.
Winner: Jinder Mahal

SmackDown Tag Team ChampionshipThe Usos vs. Breezango:
I’m actually torn on this match. I’m enjoying these heel Usos, but I think it would be great if this feud could keep going. The only way it keeps going is if Breezango/Fashion Police win the Tag Team Championships.
Winners: Breezango

WWE United States Championship — AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens (c):
It’s honestly disappointing that this match is for the United States Championship and not the WWE Championship. Both of these guys are too talented to be stuck in the mid-card. The end result of this match can go a lot of ways.

I’m assuming that the AJ Styles vs Randy Orton will be the Smackdown match for Smackdown in August, so I wouldn’t put the United States Championship on him. It doesn’t make any sense to do so.
Winner: Kevin Owens

Sami Zayn vs Baron Corbin:
Zayn and Corbin got their hands on each other in that #1 contenders Triple Threat match vs AJ Styles on the April 18th episode of Smackdown Live! On Talking Smack, Corbin attacked Zayn after he came to the defense of AJ Styles.

WWE has big plans for Corbin this summer and I believe he’s the favorite to win Money in The Bank. Corbin kicks off a string of wins tonight.
Winner: Baron Corbin

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Dolph Ziggler:When Nakamura debuted on the first Smackdown Live after Wrestlemania 33, he was supposed to enter a feud with The Miz. Miz got traded to Smackdown and Nakamura had to feud with Dolph Ziggler instead.

It’s Nakamura’s first match on the main roster, so there is no way he’s losing. Ziggler will do the job tonight and they’ll continue feuding.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

Naomi, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya, Carmella and  Tamina:
I don’t think the babyface’s are winning tonight. They just started the new faction of Natalya, Carmella and Tamina on Smackdown, so why have them lose in their PPV debut? I think at Money in The Bank, we’ll see these 5 other women compete for a shot at Naomi.
Winners: Natalya, Carmella and Tamina

Erick Rowan vs Luke Harper:
I don’t think I have ever seen a feud stop and start as much as this Rowan and Harper feud. It feels like this thing has been stretching for YEARS. It’s almost like they don’t know what to do with either guy.
Winner: Erick Rowan
