WWE: Great Balls of Fire Predictions

Tonight in Dallas, TX, WWE will host the first ever Great Balls of Fire PPV.

Pre Show: WWE Cruiserweight Championship  — Neville vs Akira Tozawa:
I know very few people watch 205 Live, but back on the June 28th episode, Neville cut one heck of a promo on Tozawa. He called him a baby lamb that he was going to slaughter.

Tozawa responded by kicking him in the head and saying “Ah Ah Ah Ah” I’m not exactly sure what that means, but I don’t think they’re taking the title of off Neville.

I think Cedric will the man to end Neville’s reign at Summerslam. Expect this match to potentially steal the show as well.
Winner: Neville

RAW Tag Team Championship  — Cesaro and Sheamus vs The Hardy Boyz:
WWE took the Tag Team titles off of the Hardy Boyz because Reby, Matt’s wife was giving birth to their second child. The baby is born and I think it’s time to put those titles back on the Hardyz.

I feel like the Summerslam match will be The Hardyz vs The Revival, so Great Balls of Fire is the perfect place to pull the titles from Cesaro and Sheamus. Hardy Boyz become 2 time RAW Tag Team Champions.
Winners: The Hardy Boyz

Seth Rollins vs Bray Wyatt:
On the June 19th episode of RAW, Seth Rollins revealed to the WWE Universe that he would be the cover Superstar for WWE 2K18. In the middle of this, Bray Wyatt interuppted him and said that he would be a sacrifice.

Bray has done nothing, but lose matches all year. There’s no way they’re putting Rollins on the cover of their game and then having him lose at the PPV. Rollins leaves with the win.
Winner: Seth Rollins

Enzo Amore vs Big Cass:
For weeks, WWE kept pushing the story that Enzo was being attacked by some mystery person. At random times during backstage interviews, we’d see The Revival creeping around backstage, so Cass claimed that it was them. Corey Graves finally revealed the attacker to be Big Cass.

We all saw the breakup coming with these two, but I don’t like that they’re giving this match away at Great Balls of Fire. A best friend turning on their bestfriend because he keeps losing is worthy of a Summerslam match. I think they’ll still do it, but it won’t be as special.
Winner: Big Cass

RAW Women’s Championship  — Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks:
The RAW Womens division has been pure garbage since Charlotte was traded over to Smackdown Live. I discussed their poor booking of Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss in part 4 of Vince Deserves All The Blame.

This division needs a change, immediately. The Alexa Bliss led Womens Divison has been a flop since she got the title, but they’ve had success with Sasha leading the way. I think they play it safe and put the title back on Sasha tonight.
Winner: Sasha Banks

Intercontinental Championship  — The Miz (w/Maryse, Bo, and Curtis Axel) vs Dean Ambrose:
This feud has given us Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel dressed as bears, The Miz running into a grandfather clock, and Lavar Ball. To say I’m ready for this to be over would be an understatement. Miz and Ambrose have faced each other over 30 times this year alone.

This feud needs to end immediately. I don’t think they’re taking the belt off Miz anytime soon. He’s quickly becoming one of the greatest Intercontinental Champions of all time, honestly.
Winner: Miz

Ambulance Match  — Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman:
Braun Strowman returned and challenged Roman Reigns to an ambulance match at Great Balls of Fire. I do believe that Roman is winning tonight. Roman is being pushed to the moon and Braun will be just fine if he loses to Roman. Roman needs this win, especially if he’s going to be main eventing Summerslam next month.
Winner: Roman Reigns

Universal Championship  — Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe:
Back at Extreme Rules, Samoa Joe choked out Finn Balor to become the #1 Contender to Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title. Every since Extreme Rules, Samoa Joe has been on a tear. In the span of one month, he choked out Finn Balor, Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns, and Brock Lesnar.

If this PPV was 3 weeks ago, I would give the win to Brock Lesnar, but I don’t think that’s how this is going down tonight. There will be no winner in this match tonight. It just doesn’t make any sense to have a clean winner.

I think this match ends in a No Contest and we get the rematch at Summerslam with Roman Reigns vs Samoa Joe vs Brock Lesnar. Joe has too much momentum to lose now and we know that Lesnar is supposed to hold the Universal title for a long time.
Winner: Ends in A No Contest
