WWE: Hell In A Cell 2017 Predictions (Audio)

WWE, KFC, and WWE 2K18 presents the 9th annual Hell in A Cell PPV, live from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI.

Pre Show:
Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin vs The Hype Bros:
This is just the standard throw away pre show match that WWE gives us every PPV, so I’m not going into detail about it. I have Gable and Benjamin winning after one of the Hype Bros turns heel and attacks their partner.
Winners: Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin

Main Show:
Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler:
Remember when Ziggler was coming out and doing everyone’s spectacular entrances? It was building to this match with Bobby Roode.

Ziggler thinks Bobby Roode is nothing more than a glorious entrance. I think tonight Roode proves that’s he actually good in the ring too and he beats Ziggler.
Winner: Bobby Roode

Randy Orton vs Rusev:
I don’t see how Randy Orton benefits from a win in this situation. I think Rusev gets the win tonight with the help of Aiden English.

Orton should go away after he loses this match because he’s back in a situation where’s he’s bored and unmotivated. He should leave and come back as a heel next year.
Winner: Rusev

Smackdown Women’s Championship — Natalya (c) vs Charlotte:
I still can’t believe Nattie is the Smackdown Women’s Champion. I don’t think she’ll successfully defend her title tonight against Charlotte.

I think Charlotte wins the title tonight in honor of her father. It’ll be a feel good moment and maybe we see an appearance from the Nature Boy himself.
Winner: Charlotte

United States Championship — AJ Styles vs Baron Corbin:
If AJ loses the title here tonight, then his next feud should be for the WWE Championship. I don’t think AJ is going to feud with Jinder because WWE has been advertising Jinder Mahal vs Shinsuke Nakamura for their India tour.

So, since AJ won’t be placed in a main event feud, I’d keep the title on him. It’s a safe bet and I think Corbin wins it next month or in January so AJ can go on to focus on co-main eventing Wrestlemania in New Orleans.
Winner: AJ Styles

Smackdown Tag Team Championship — The New Day (c) vs The Usos:
This feud has been going on for so long, but it’s not boring at all. I do think that this should be the blow off to this feud.

I think a match like Hell in A Cell allows each team to exhaust every measure to win. Once the match is done, I think both teams should go their separate ways.

I think there’s more potential with the Smackdown Live tag team division if a heel team is holding the titles, so I’m giving the win to the Usos.
Winners: The Usos

Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens:
Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon in a feud is something I would’ve never thought I’d enjoy, but they’ve proved me wrong. This feud feels so personal and it should take place inside of a Cell.

Owens doesn’t care that Shane is the son of the Chairman and he doesn’t care that Shane is the Commissioner of Smackdown Live. He’s going to tear Shane apart tonight.

I would give the win to Kevin Owens, but the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation changed my mind. I think Shane and Owens will get out of the Cell and we’ll see an appearance from another McMahon to help Shane escape.
Winner: Shane McMahon

WWE Championship — Jinder Mahal (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura:

I don’t think WWE is ready to take the title off of Jinder Mahal just yet. I think Jinder will remain WWE Champion for the remainder of 2017.

I think Nakamura’s title win needs to come at a stage bigger than Hell in A Cell. I think we’ll see that early next year. Maybe at Wrestlemania 34?
Winner: Jinder Mahal
